What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your first visit starts with Dr. Handly “listening” to gain an understanding of your problem and exactly what you want to achieve with chiropractic care. Dr. Handly will address all your questions and concerns. Next, Dr. Handly will do a spinal assessment to identify areas of imbalance and dysfunction that may be causing/contributing to your pain, discomfort or health problem. He will explain in simple terms using visual aids (such as a model of the spine or joint) so you can clearly see what is occurring and how chiropractic care can help you. In some cases, he will need to collect additional information from x-rays and MRIs, in assessing your condition. Your first adjustment will be administered on this visit if appropriate. Dr. Handly uses gentle adjustments —no forceful twisting, popping or cracking is used. Dr. Handly will recommend follow-up care based on how your body responds.
