Your First Visit
What to Expect
Knowing what to expect when you begin Chiropractic care helps you be more comfortable & confident in your decision in seeking Chiropractic care.
On your first visit I am meeting a person, not a Sick condition. You & I will discuss your reason for coming to my office, your lifestyle, health & treatment history.
My Chiropractic spinal examination will be performed to detect Vertebral Subluxation. If I detect any indications of disease, I will recommend additional evaluation with a medical sick-care professional.
I will explain my findings & the care I provide (Chiropractic Adjustments) & how it can affect your condition & Health. Chiropractic is different than medicine. Not superior or inferior, just different. They have different intentions & different purposes. Medicine’s focus is the diagnosis & treatment of disease & symptoms. Chiropractic is a separate & unique profession based on the science, art & philosophy of health with a focus on the mechanical integrity of the nervous system.
Health is normal, so If you’re not experiencing Health, wellbeing & ease, something must be interfering with your body’s ability to express it.
Your Nervous System provides nerve energy (Life Force) to every cell, tissue & organ in your body. Your body’s Innate Intelligence harmonizes all the functions of your body thru your Nervous System. Vertebral Subluxation mechanically causes interference in your Nervous System altering the body’s nerve supply resulting in discord or dis-ease, enabling disease to develop in your body. Chiropractic care is not treating symptoms or disease. This may surprise you because most people have the impression that Chiropractors treat neck & back pain. Although, people do find relief from neck & back pain. However, Chiropractic Adjustments correct Vertebral Subluxation that is causing nerve interference so when this interference is removed, your body expresses optimum function & Health. That is a lot to take in, but this is why many people see chronic Sick problems diminish & disappear while under regular Chiropractic care.
I will administer your first adjustment, usually on your first visit.
